Traveling with your pet has become more popular in recent years. With the assistance of books such as Pet Friendly Places to Stay, Doin' California with Your Pooch (also available for other states), and services such as Pets-Allowed-Hotels, Dog Friendly.com, and Pets Welcome, people have found it easier to find hotels and other pet friendly locations.

Make sure your pet can be found if you are separated during your travels by using FasTags® instant pet ID tags. Choose a different Fastags® ID tag for each location that you plan on visiting.

Here is some suggested information for your FasTags® ID tag for each location you visit. (Not all the information needs to be included, but if you have a cell phone you should always include it on your tag):
  • Your cell phone number
  • The name of your hotel (and/or the hotel phone number) plus your room number
  • The name of your RV camp and your space number
  • Your last name

FasTags® Multi-Paks give you three ID tags to use for your travels or you can choose any of the 50+ designs available as FasTags® single packs. You might like to use the Freedom Bone for your trip to Philadelphia, Mouse (with the huge block of cheese) for Wisconsin, or Daisies for your trip to New Jersey ("The Garden State.")

After your summer travels are over, you will have a special bonus for the holiday season. Take each of the FasTags® you used during your travels, tie a ribbon through the S-hook or O-ring on each tag, and attach them to a mini Christmas tree. Add a couple of snowmen and snowflakes with the names of your family members, and the year your travels took place. If you want, add a few other mementos from your trip or a few mini Christmas balls. Your mini Christmas tree will be ready to enjoy, and remind you of all the fun you had earlier in the year.
